The brief

A solo founder with a surf school and a strong hunch: beginners give up because booking is harder than paddling out. The goal was an app in real hands before the summer season.

    Discover

    Rode along with instructors for a weekend and found that tide timing, not price, decided most bookings.

    Design

    Designed a booking flow built around tide windows, prototyped it and tested it on the beach with real students.

  3. T–1

    Build

    Shipped one React Native codebase to iOS and Android with payments, instructor calendars and push reminders.

  4. T–0

    Launch

    Released to both stores ahead of the season, with an instructor onboarding kit and analytics in place.
